Nexon is a Korean video game publisher that specializes in online games for PC and mobile and maintains over 80 titles. I wrote and edited in-game copy for mobile games like DomiNations. A good deal of creativity was spent on making Korean to English translations sound natural and crackle with character.

I also wrote fun stuff like character bios:

Valuing turns-of-tricks and slight-of-hand over the skullduggery of farming, Eddie chose a life of conjuring and mastering the art of magic. He traveled through the highlands and foggy moors collecting talismans of the mystics to build a Curiosity Gallery the likes of which have never been seen in the Modern Era. Eddie has faced abandonment from his kin over his practice of magic and sometimes feels compelled to follow the siren song of the Dark Arts.

Product samples

I wrote the copy for this line of Cracker Barrel product samples. Each mug features an adorable pet with copy inside the mug matching their morning moods. The work is playful and bright, just like the illustrations.

I wrote the copy for illustrator Manda Comisari’s website, including all product descriptions. Manda’s work is good-natured, playful, and swelling with creativity. My job was to meet that aesthetic and not let the words get in the way of her wonderful art.
